VIET NAM DESTINATION
Vietnam is divided into 63 provinces and cities, grouped within 3 main regions and 7 economic zones, each with distinct terrain, natural features, and social conditions.
- Northern Vietnam: Consisting of 28 provinces spanning humid, tropical lowlands to the mountainous northwest bordering China and Laos. Key cities include capital Hanoi, coastal Haiphong, Perfume Pagoda and Sapa highlands.
- Central Vietnam: Spanning 17 provinces from the Animated Range down to sandy beaches along the South China Sea. Major cities and destinations include Hue, Danang, Hoi An, Phong Nha caves.
- Southern Vietnam: Made up of 19 provinces defined by the Mekong Delta, fertile lowlands, and urban centers around Ho Chi Minh City. Also features highland areas like Dalat plus tropical islands and beaches.
The economic regions include the Northern Midlands and Mountain areas, Red River Delta, North and South Central Coast, Central Highlands, Southeast, and Mekong River Delta.
SOUTH – VIET NAM
Southern Vietnam is composed of 19 provinces, each characterized by the Mekong Delta’s fertile lowlands and bustling urban centers, particularly around Ho Chi Minh City. This region also boasts highland areas such as Dalat, along with tropical islands and pristine beaches.
CENTRAL – VIET NAM
Central Vietnam: This area spans 17 provinces, extending from the rugged Annamite Range down to the sandy beaches along the South China Sea. It boasts major cities and destinations such as the historic city of Hue, the modern city of Danang, the charming town of Hoi An, and the awe-inspiring Phong Nha caves.
NORTH – VIET NAM
Northern Vietnam: This region is made up of 28 provinces that stretch from the humid, tropical lowlands to the mountainous northwest, which borders China and Laos. It is home to key cities such as the capital, Hanoi, the coastal city of Haiphong, and the highland areas of Perfume Pagoda and Sapa.
